How often should solar panels be cleaned?

Do you use any chemicals?

No. We clean with 100% deionised pure water. It lifts dirt and grime on contact and dries spotless with nothing left behind — so there's no detergent residue, no runoff into your garden or guttering, and no risk to the panels.

Why pure water rather than soap?

Accepted Answer

Ordinary water leaves mineral spots as it dries. Purifying it to zero minerals means it dries streak-free, and because nothing is left on the glass, dirt is slower to return. It's the method used across professional solar cleaning.

Will cleaning damage my panels?

No. Reach-and-wash poles with soft brushes and pure water are gentle on the glass and the seals. We never use abrasive pads or high-pressure jets directly on panels.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not, as long as we can access the property and an outside water point if needed. We'll confirm everything when we book, and you'll know when we're coming.
